Professional Respiratory Home Care Service Corp. (ProResp) is the largest independent, Canadian-owned provider of home respiratory services. For over 25 years we've been focused on quality home care with a client-centred approach. Today, we set the standard for excellence in respiratory home care. 

 

Incorporated in 1981, ProResp is the respiratory home care member of the Trudell Medical Group of companies. The primary focus of each of Trudell's businesses is the provision of optimal healthcare, whether in institutional or home settings. Care excellence, relationship building, innovation and giving back to the communities we serve are high priorities at ProResp.

ProResp’s goal is to extend respiratory care beyond the hospital setting in cooperation with hospital and community health professionals. We became one of the first home oxygen providers to deliver respiratory therapy home care services with healthcare professionals as the front line caregivers. Our dedicated team works closely with our clients, their family, community physicians, hospital health care teams, long term care facilities and sleep labs. This team approach ensures continuity of care and optimal therapy planning to achieve successful treatment outcomes while promoting client independence.

The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) recognized our innovation, leadership and high standards by honouring our organization with one of the first home care accreditation awards in the country in 1994.

As a proactive community care provider, we are continuously striving to meet the changing needs of our evolving health care system. We've been partnering with various Ontario hospitals to form unique joint venture companies since 1990.

 

These innovative joint ventures fit with government initiatives to facilitate integrated care in our communities. Our unique cooperative approach strengthens continuity of care for clients while maximizing health care resources and generating revenue for the respective hospital partners. To date, millions of dollars have been raised through these joint ventures and reinvested into our partner hospitals to improve their quality of patient care.
