Michael is recently retired, after spending 40 years with the same company and working his way from the shop floor to the office (and through nine changes of ownership, no less!).
“Retirement’s been great so far, but I’m only two weeks in” Michael told us with a laugh. “I’m going to get back into golfing and probably do some work for the local course, and of course there are my racehorses which have long been a passion of mine. So they will keep me busy. We just sold one the other day.”
Michael is able to look forward to an active, busy life in retirement in part because of the support he receives from ProResp. When Michael was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, his doctors told him that to protect his heart, he would need more oxygen at night and throughout the day.
“My doctors mentioned that I might give ProResp a call, and I’m so thankful they did,” Michael recalled. “The customer care at ProResp just stands head and shoulders above of anything else out there. You simply don’t encounter it that much anymore, sadly. But ProResp is so attentive. One time, I forgot to tell ProResp I wasn’t going to be at work, where they were making my usual deliveries, so Phil stopped by my house just to make sure I was okay. We’ve become friends, and I look forward to his visits as a chance to catch up and just chat about whatever is on our minds.”
