Meet Olga

When Olga was admitted to the hospital for a lung exasperation, she was told that the only way that she could be discharged was with home oxygen support. “I said great,” Olga told us. “I was so ready to get back home and eat something other than turkey roll and white rice. I would have said yes to anything!”

When Olga got home that day, Jimmy from ProResp was already there—waiting for her. That was three years ago, and over the years Olga and Jim have developed quite the bond.

“Jimmy is wonderful,” Olga said. “He calls me every Thursday just to check in and see if there is anything I need, and then he usually makes his delivery that same day or first thing Friday morning and we have a nice chat.”

Olga told us that the oxygen hasn’t just given her a new friend—it has given her back the ability to go places and do things, and that this has been so valuable.

Olga also told us about a time when Jimmy went above and beyond to make sure she was cared for. “One year, Jimmy found out I was going to be alone for Christmas, so after his celebrations were over, he stopped by with leftovers for me from his mom’s place. Just to be thought of like that, to have someone remember me on Christmas day… after he left, I was in tears,” recalled Olga.

Jim is not one to seek the spotlight, so we want to thank Olga for bringing this to our attention, and thank Jim for representing the very best of ProResp.
