Meet Jack & Helen

Jack is not the type of man to give in easily, so when he had breathing troubles, he pushed through.

When he was eventually diagnosed with bronchitis, he soldiered on. But finally, when he was diagnosed with asthma and his breathing became impossible, he had to be admitted to the hospital. When Jack arrived at the hospital, his blood oxygen was so low the doctor told him it was a miracle he was alive. After three days, Jack was told he could go home — as long as he agreed to go onto supplemental oxygen. Jack said "okay", but only if his provider could be ProResp.

You see, six years back, Jack’s wife, Helen, encountered breathing difficulties of her own. She had severely asthmatic lungs and required supplementary oxygen. She was with ProResp for quite a few years and Jack remembered nothing but perfect service and that they kept Helen in good spirits and well supported. He would happily go on oxygen if he could work with the ProResp team again.

Jack was delighted to learn that there was a ProResp representative in the hospital and soon, the two were chatting about his new treatment plan.

“The next day, I come home later in the afternoon and lo and behold, ProResp were here at my house,” Jack told us. “They brought my tanks up and the concentrator and had it all set up for me and then my Respiratory Therapist came by and we talked about it, how I use it and what I should do, and it has been excellent ever since.”

Jack especially appreciates the friendly, personal touch of the ProResp team. “Paul calls me Thursday and we have a little chat, then he comes out Friday, usually pops in about ten. Checks the tank, refills, changes the bottles, checks in on how I am feeling and asks me what is new. It’s just so nice to have that little chat. Sarah too. She will come in and sit down and take the time to really see how I’m doing. She looked after my wife and she’s looking after me. They are a caring company. That’s why I fell in love with them, because they did so much for my wife.”
